Summary
In ExecutionReports for prior releases, the custom LinkID field was used for two different scenarios:
- The grouping of collections of different orders, typically for Maker RFS workflows.
- To convey SecondaryExecID values delivered by cme_ilink2 and ebs_market_ilink3_sbe Venues for a specific order.
Following the recent 2023-06-30 - Whisperer API Upgrade to v18944, the SecondaryExecID field is now available in the Whisperer API ExecutionReport message.
With Release 2023.07.06.WE Market Factory is commencing the elimination of this overloaded usage.

Timeline
As of 2023.07.06.WE, the original LinkID and new SecondaryExecID fields both contain the current LinkID value.
Clients using either of the affected venues should review their current use of the LinkID field, as follows:
- Please inform MarketFactory Support whether or not you are currently referencing
LinkID. - If used, please make the small change to reference SecondaryExecID instead.
2023-09-03 - In two months time, a new Whisperer release will be deployed which will change how LinkID is populated.
