With release 2023.07.22.WE, a change was made to allow SBE clients who have yet to migrate to 18944 to do this after 2023-07-30 - EBS Market - iLink 3 SBE Schema Update.

This release reverts that change.

Clients are being provided four additional weeks to complete their upgrade, on 2023-08-20 Whisperer version validation will be reinstated, along with the reinstatement of changes to allow clients to better identify the BusinessMessageReject messages sent by the gateway to report validation errors.

Whisperer implements the template extension framework provided in SBE to roll out incremental API schema changes in a backwardly-compatible manner. Refer to SBE - Backward Compatibility for further details.

When necessary, MarketFactory will also release breaking schema changes, which require clients to upgrade to the new schema - the most recent such change was 2023-06-30 - Whisperer API Upgrade to v18944.

Clients connecting via FIX, or those utilising the Whisperer Classic./Enterprise Bridge are not affected. However, Clients connecting via SBE must do so using v18944, as for breaking schema changes attempts to connect on older API versions are normally rejected.

Release 2023.07.22.WE temporarily disables this version check, and as a necessary side effect, change FXMF-9278 (delivered in 2023.07.20.WE) is removed.

Affected clients should familiarise themselves with the changes introduced in Schema version 18944 and regenerate code stubs as soon as possible, prior to 2023-08-20.
