Timestamps

Three individual clocks are involved in the Whisperer messaging pipeline:

• Venue - typically co-located with MarketFactory in Equinix
• Whisperer
• Customer API Client

Inbound

For messages sent from Venue to Customer, Whisperer will populate the following event timestamps:

• Venue Transact Time
• Venue Sending Time
• Whisperer Received Time
• Whisperer Sending Time
• Customer API Client Received Time

Outbound

For messages sent from Customer to Venue, Whisperer will populate fields as per the Venue API, typically this will be:

• Transact Time - As specified by the Customer API Client in the originating method call.
• Whisperer Sending Time - Populated by Whisperer immediately prior to the sending of the Venue message.

Whisperer additionally records the following timestamps:

• Customer API Client Sending Time
• Whisperer Received Time
