This section is intended as an introduction to the Network Architecture employed for Whisperer. MarketFactory has a presence within the three major financial Co-Locations (colos) LD4, NY2 and TY3, the diagram below gives a geographical representation alongside, baseline latency figures for packet transit time across the lines:

The diagram below is a very simplified summary of the of the network architecture with further details on the specifics of the network topology available on request.

A typical message flow involves the following hops:

A) a liquidity message leaves the Venue

B) arrives at the MarketFactory Arista switch within the data centre

C)  Is forwarded to the venue FeedHandler where it is translated to the MFAPI representation.

D) The message then transits to the customer infrastructure.
