Configuration

All MarketFactory servers utilize a standard configuration as outlined in the diagram below.

Resilience

Whisperer operates under a clustered Hot - Warm High Availability model. In the event of a failure, the clustering software immediately starts the Whisperer application on the standby system which is already running, absent of human/administrator intervention.

The entire process provides a recovery time of a couple of minutes. Customers will experience a failover as a disconnect (observing an onDisconnect() callback) followed by a reconnect. Depending on the Customer subscriptions setup, the MFAPI Client may be required to subscribe to Feeds and Market(s) again. Any orders that had been in the market at the time of failover will have been cancelled on the disconnect with replay being available at the session level for the connection.
