Cross-connect within the Co-location site

MarketFactory allows access to the Whisperer platforms production environment from within the Co-location site. Customers wishing to connect in this way are required to have a presence within the Co-location datacentre where the Whisperer host is operating from in addition the customer infrastructure must be able to meet the following criteria;

• The customer infrastructure must be able to support Layer 3 protocols.
• The customer infrastructure must be able to terminate optic lines through a transceiver or fixed port in the equipment.
• Customer equipment must support the following protocols: Ethernet, IP or BGP
• Customer IP packets must be sourced from the IP range pre-arranged with MarketFactory to permit connectivity.

Procedure

1. Customer makes a request for a cross-connect completing the required paperwork (giving consideration to any secondary redundancy connections)
2. Customer hardware is confirmed capable of supporting services
3. MarketFactory Networking team schedules a network connectivity test. Customer must have a knowledgeable contact (Network Engineer) available for this connectivity test.
4. Upon successful test, MarketFactory will notify the customer of completion
