The Whisperer software provides connectivity, market data, and trading functions via a uniform interface to a wide range of foreign exchanges ECNs and futures exchanges (collectively referred to as "Trading Venues"). 

Each Trading Venue has its own combination of transport, format for messages, and conventions for market data and order management. Whisperer normalises these differences into a common interface while preserving details of the original market data.
