Synopsis

MarketFactory UAT Connectivity is ordinarily over the internet, MarketFactory do not recommend using production cross-connects for the purpose of UAT. Access can be granted to one of the following environments;

• A customer's dedicated UAT host
• A shared customer UAT host

Dedicated UAT Hosts

The dedicated UAT hosts are purpose-built virtual machines for use with an individual customer. The exclusive use means that the environment is quarantined from the potential difficulty that may arise within a shared environment requires mid-week maintenance, which would affect all users. However, as the environment is customer specific, all venue connections on the host must also be specific to the customer with credentials sourced individually. 

Shared UAT Host

The shared host is accessible to multiple customers and can prove beneficial when customers want to conduct testing for connections they do not presently have credentials for, although this type of UAT setup is becoming the exception.

For the setup of either environment source IP details will be required to permit access from the customer to the hosts with full details of information required on the UAT Questionnaire
