UAT
Once a customer progresses through onboarding to the creation of a User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Whisperer instance (ordinarily individual to each customer) a customer can then test connectivity for the first time connectivity, and core functionality between the customer infrastructure and MarketFactory. In addition to end to -to-end testing of connectivity from the client Infrastructure to the venue.

The UAT/Demo environment is operated as a series of virtual clustered machines centrally controlled using an Ovirt virtualisation manager for scalability and improved reliability. The UAT sessions operate as closely as possible to production instances compatible with the usual venue connection types, and security measures such as the use of Secure Socket Layers Layer (SSL) transmissions.
The environment maintains an uptime comparable with production and is available from market open to market close, during normal market hours. However, depending on the venues configured, liquidity may be low during periods of venue maintenance and scheduled downtime which takes place during the week for many liquidity providers.

MarketFactory's Networking Team strongly recommend not to use production cross connects for UAT connectivity, as it can effect affect the performance of latency sensitive sessions. A preferred way of UAT connection is over the Internet. |
