UAT 

Once a customer progresses through onboarding to the creation of a User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Whisperer instance (ordinarily individual to each customer) a customer can then test for the first time connectivity, and core functionality between the customer infrastructure and MarketFactory. In addition to end to end testing of connectivity from the client Infrastructure to the venue.

The UAT/Demo environment is operated as a series of virtual clustered machines centrally controlled using an Ovirt virtualisation manager for scalability and improved reliability. The UAT sessions operate as closely as possible to production instances compatible with the usual venue connection types, and security measures such as the use of Secure Socket Layers (SSL) transmissions.

The environment maintains an uptime comparable with production and is available from market open to market close. However, depending on the venues configured liquidity may be low during periods of venue maintenance and scheduled downtime which takes place during the week for many liquidity providers.

MarketFactory is able to provide access to both a shared UAT/Demo environment or a dedicated environment for the uses previously stated. It should be noted however that customers will be expected to obtain the connection credentials for their chosen venues for configuration with the Whisperer platform, as MarketFactory do not have the authority to request these details from the venue as a connectivity provider. Therefore to promote fluid transition through the testing process customer teams are expected to obtain these details.
